Description
A tiny tan treefrog marked with a dark X on the back, whose shrill, sleigh-bell peeping is the classic sound of early spring. Heard everywhere, seen almost never.

Reproduction
Breeding is triggered by rainfall anytime in early spring. Males will call with loud "peeps" from small trees and other vegetation in and around the pond. Hundreds of eggs are adhered to vegetation. Calls from dozens of peepers can be deafening.
