Education

Education is our passion!

Education sits at the heart of the Hoosier Herp Society's mission. We believe that fostering understanding about Indiana's rich reptilian and amphibian biodiversity can spark respect and conscious conservation efforts. Dispelling misconceptions and highlighting these creatures' ecological roles is central to our endeavors.

We extend our educational commitment by welcoming academic researchers to present new findings at our monthly meetings. This collaboration fuels our understanding and keeps us abreast of cutting-edge herpetological research.

Our aim is not only to disseminate information but also to build a knowledgeable and proactive community that values and champions Indiana's unique herpetological heritage. To us, education is the key that unlocks collective responsibility and passion for conserving our natural world.
